Hi! My name is Liz.
I am so happy that you are taking a few moments to explore what I have to offer you. Choosing a therapist is an important decision. I’d like to tell you a little about myself so you can begin to get a sense of whether I’m the right fit for you. I believe that everything in an individual’s life is interconnected. Experiences, cultural backgrounds, family structure, the people in our lives, and our choices all combine to make us the unique people that we are.
What sets me apart from other therapists is my ability to cut to the chase – discovering together with you, not only what went wrong, but how to repair the damage and reclaim yourself.
To gain a better understanding of what you may be experiencing, I try to view the world through your eyes, using your own insight and knowledge to develop and address your goals. In a safe and supportive environment, we will explore and harness the natural drive towards healing that exists within your own brain and body. I will help you cognitively and experientially learn from and heal recent adult traumatic experiences or past events that intervene in your life today.
My goal is to help you examine your life and begin the healing process from the very first session. Using various techniques, I will educate, guide, teach, treat, and empower you to recognize how your psychological wounds impact your everyday life and then, how to make more functional, healthy choices.
